Transport Specialist – The Netherlands

Are you a motivated and detail-oriented individual looking for a temporary opportunity in the field of logistics and transportation? If so, we are currently seeking a Transport Specialist to join our Operations team in Leiden for at least 1 year.

Your role

As a Transport Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient collection of our company-owned equipment that is located all over the world. This will involve processing incoming shipments, negotiating quotations, and booking space on various transportation methods. You will also be responsible for creating and managing international documentation, reviewing and amending documentation provided by foreign customer sites, and maintaining contact with customers and couriers by email and phone.

What do you bring?

To be successful in this role, you should have a relevant BA/BS degree or equivalent working proficiency through experience, and at least 2+ years of working experience in an administrative/customer service environment. You should also fluent in English (and have basic understanding of Dutch), with excellent organizational and planning skills. Because the work is divided by the team and then executed independently, you should be quite self-sufficient.

The team

This team is led by the Manager Transport and consists of 4 colleagues that perform the same function as you will. This means there is enough room to discuss & learn from each other. The team works hard and productively with an informal culture. With opportunity to join Friday drinks weekly.

In return, we offer a nice workplace at a fast-growing organization with a familiar, informal atmosphere. You will have the possibility to work from home after the onboarding period, receive a working from home and/or travel allowance, internet allowance, phone (allowance), personal monthly budget and 30 vacation days based on 40 hours. You will get plenty of opportunity to develop and grow within the company. The monthly salary will be between 2500 and 2800 per month, based on a full-time employment.
